24/08/2020 – They saved the best for the last at the ARHA Futurity concluded Saturday evening in Wiener Neustadt (AUT): the L3- and L4 finals of the Open Futurity for 4-year-old horses, scheduled class in class, with 16 entries competing in each division. Both divisions ended in a co-Championship, all for the well being of the horses.
It were German Sylvia Rzepka with Reds Rocking Cash [Lil Joe Cash] owned by Daniel Geiger and Austrian Johannes Hasenauer with Yellow Jersey Girl [Yellow Jersey] owned by Christine Rippel that claimed the L3 Open Futurity co-Champion title. Rzepka was the very first entry, putting the bar for L3 high marking a 221,5. Italian Sebastiano Valtorta and PL Lil Jo Gun [Lil Joe Cash] owned by Luigi Parise came close marking a 221,0. Hasenauer though, being entry number 12, came along side, marking a 221,5 as well. The podium was set.
In the L4 division it was Italian Gennaro Lendi that marked the first big score with I Spring For Chicks [Magnum Chick Dream] owned by Eyal Carmon, putting the bar high with a 222,5. With only 2 more entries to go German Dominik Reminder and Gunnachexya [Gunnatrashya] owned by Sabrina Ludwig came along side. But it were the last 2 entries that made the difference: Italian Nico Sicuro and Captain Spook [Smart Spook] owned by Quarter Dream SRL and Polish Lukasz Czechowicz and Frozen Shining Gun [Colonels Shining Gun] owned by Katarzyna Roleska. Both entries marked a 225,0 and shared the title. Reminder and Lendi tied for third place.
