FEI cooperates with NRHA again

20/11/2019 – At the general assembly of the FEI (Féderation Equestre Internationale) scheduled for November 16 up to and including November 19 in Moscow FEI and NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) have signed a new agreement. The biggest bottlenecks between both organizations over the past years are the anti-doping policy and the fact that there should only be one governing body for the sport of Reining. In the so-called ‘memorandum of understanding’ signed by both parties the progress made over the past years is preserved, means to develop more joint competitions are provided and the heritage of both organizations is protected. Details of the agreement and its potential impact on the NRHA membership will be communicated in the near future as implementation plans are finalized.
At the general assembly FEI has – following the agreement with NRHA – committed herself to reach out to the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) to agree terms for cooperation.
