24/03/2020 – Due to the measures taken by almost every European government in order to get control over the further spread of COVID-19 the 2020 show season is fully on its backside. Every show scheduled for the next two months has been either cancelled or postponed. One of the consequences of the taken measures is that the bigger European events, like e.g. the NRHA European Futurity and Derby, now have been scheduled close to each other this year. The Derby is scheduled for October 28 up to and including November 1 in Lyon (FRA) and the Futurity For November 20 up to and including November 28 in Cremona (ITA). The NRHA European Affiliate Championship scheduled for July 6 up to and including July 11 in Regstrup (DEN) is uncertain as well as the additional qualifying period from January 1 2019 through 45 days prior to the start of the Championship cannot be taken advantage of by riders.
Since yesterday all meetings in the Netherlands are forbidden until June 1 2020, meaning all events, no matter of which association, have been cancelled until that date. Measures can differ per country though.
