Yankee Gun shines in Last Blood

22/09/2019 – The 10-year-old stallion and 2016 FEI individual World Champion Reining Yankee Gun [Rowdy Yankee x Snow Gun], owned by Italian NRHA Professional Gennaro Lendi, shines in the newest movie featuring Sylvester Stallone: Rambo: Last Blood. The fifth movie in the Rambo series starts on John Rambo’s ranch in Texas where he is living a reclusive life. This in fact is a piece of reality, because Stallone indeed owns a ranch. Both Stallone and his daughters Sistine and scarlet Rose are horse lovers. In the past Stallone competed in Polo but nowadays he has an affinity for Reining.
In Adrian Grunberg’s thriller that had its premiere in the theaters this week, John Rambo lives a quiet life until the granddaughter of a friend gets kidnapped by human traffickers. Rambo leaves to Mexico, determined to save her from the kidnappers, and ends up in the world of the drugs cartels. From that moment onwards the movie starts showing the real Rambo proportions again.
The scenes featuring Yankee Gun, by accident also an appropriate name given the context of the movie, have been shot in Bulgaria. Tom Foran, Stallone’s trainer in real life, had contacted Lendi with the request to make Yankee Gun available. A request you just can’t refuse. During 3 days Lendi had a prominent role in mastering Stallone and Yankee Gun. “An incredible experience” as Lendi calls it himself.
