NRHA European Affiliate Championship 2026

18/07/2026 – The NRHA European Affiliate Championship 2026 is scheduled for July 19 up to and including July 25 at Reining Center Meertenhof in Grathem (NLD), hosted by the Dutch Reining Horse Association (DRHA). Sunday up to and including Tuesday are reserved for the paid warming up. The ancillary NRHA show, with classes corresponding to the EAC classes, is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. The EAC classes are scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Riders from 12 European nations will be present: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Tsjech Republic, Great Brittain, Finland and Spain. Remarkable is the absence of Italian riders. It is not immediately clear why that is the case.

This year it is exactly 21 years ago that the Netherlands are hosting the NRHA EAC. Organizer back then was the DRHA with Dave and Rieky Young representing the Board. The couple organized the event at Hippisch Centrum Deurne. It turned out to be a huge success with a really charming ‘Brabant touch’ complete with the polonaise. At this event, again on the initiative of Dave Young, the National Reining Horse Youth Association for the first time in history held an election for youth riders in order to have European youth represented on the board.
