01/04/2026 -To advance to the final of either the € 48.163 added L4-, € 16.054 added L3-, € 9.231 added L2- or € 6.823 added L1 IRHA Open Derby for 5-8-years-old or the final of the € 62.000 added L4-, € 23.000 added L3-, € 15.000 added L2- of € 12.000 L1 IRHBA Open Derby for 5-8-years old scheduled in conjunction last Saturday in Cremona (ITA), is already quite an achievement considering the number of entries in de go rounds. But to be crowned Derby Champion is the ultimate. Posting a 219,5 Tiara van Dongen (NED) piloted the 8-year-old mare Orangeisthenublack [Smart Spook] owned by van Gisela Haas (NED) not only to 4th place in both the IRHA L4- and IRHBA L4 Open final, but also claimed both the IRHA L3 Open Derby Champion- and IRHBA L3 Open Derby Champion title.
Since 2022 Orangeisthenublack is entrusted to Van Dongen. That very same year the combination claimed both the L2- and L3 Open Futurity Champion title as well as the L4 Open Reserve Futurity Champion title at the NRHA Germany Breeders Futurity for 4-year-old horses, posting an impressive 233,5. Since then the NRHA earnings of the mare have increased to $ 106.667, of which $ 103.168 credit to Van Dongen. Van Dongen herself has $ 235.93 NRHA earnings to her name. The earnings from the Derby in Cremona have not been taken into account yet.
Both the IRHA L3- and IRHBA L3 Open Reserve Champion title went to the 5-year-old stallion Chex N The Trash [Gunnatrashya] owned by AT Reining Dream (BEL) and ridden by Matyas Gobert (BEL, posting a 218,5). Lukasz Czechowicz (POL) piloted his own 5-year-old gelding CSG Berlin [Colonels Shining Gun] to 3 place in both finals posting a 217,5.
