Copyride crossed the ocean
16/08/2021 – Is is very uncommon that a horse bred in Germany and trained in Poland is sold to the USA, but recently the 5-year-old gelding Copyride [Colonels Shining Gun x Finest Copyshot] crossed the ocean. Copyride is bred by German Anja Deutzmann, trained by Polish Lukasz Czechowics and was owned by Polish Katarzyna Roleska. In 2019 Copyride and Czechowics impressed the reining scene at the IRHA Futurity for 3-year-old horses marking a 223,0 and claiming the L4 Open co-Champion title. Copyride has been purchased by native Austrian and NRHA 1 Million Dollar Rider Martin Mühlstätter bases in Scottsdale, Arizona. There were rumors the gelding was to enter the Run For A Million scheduled for August 18 up to and including August 21 in the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, but now it seems Mühlstätter will enter the 7-year-old stallion Spooks Grand Slam [Spooks Gotta Whiz x Shiney Diamond Lady] owned by himself.
Shipping a horse from Europe to the USA to enter the Run For A Million has been done before though. In 2019 the by then 8-year-old stallion Custom Made Gun [Gunner x Custom Made Dunit] owned by Italian Maria Cecilia Fiorucci was shipped to the USA. Ridden by Cade McCutcheon Custom Made Gun marked a 229,5 claiming the co-Champion title together with Craig Schmersal And the by then 6-year-old stallion No Smoking Required [Gunner x Icing Required].
Apart from the Run For A Million competition, a $ 100,000 Shoot Out, $ 50,000 Freestyle Invitation Reining and 1 $ 50,000 Non Pro- and Rookie Championship are scheduled. The Run For A Million competition is scheduled for Saturday August 21 .
