Dutch Touch NRHA Germany Breeders Derby finals

Dutch Touch NRHA Germany Breeders Derby finals

05/10/2021 – Remarkable is the absence of the Italian and Belgian leaders at the NRHA Germany Open Breeders Derby currently running in the Ostbayernhalle in Rieden-Kreuth (GER), but that does not make the competition less exciting. The preliminaries concluded yesterday counted 88 entries in total of which 44 in L1, 67 in L2, 39 in L3 and 33 in L4.
15 Entries got hold on a ticket for the L1 finals. With a 217,0 Lars Süchting (GER) and the 9-year-old stallion JF What A Ruf Juice [Ruf Dun It] owned by Markus Süchting took the lead in L1. 23 entries advanced to the L2 finals, among them Petra van EDE (NLD) with her own 5-year-old gelding Gonnashowya [Gunnatrashya] and the 7-year-old mare Cee U In Tinseltown [Hollywoodstinseltown] owned by Gisela Haas. With Gonnashowya Van Ede, currently the best performing Dutch Open rider, posted a 218,0. With Cee U In Tinseltown Van Ede hit the penalty box and did not live up to the expectations resulting in a 211,5. The finals will be a chance to make up for that because there is plenty of proof that the combination is capable of more. Taking the lead in L2 posting a 219,0 was Alexander Ripper (GER) with the 7-year-old mare RHMSpooksgottanumask [Spooks Gotta Whiz] owned by Felisette van Wieren. With Gonnashowya van Ede also advanced to both the L3- and L4 finals, counting 15 entries each. In L3 Sylvia Rzepka (GER) and the 9-year-old gelding Winnie The Boo [Spooks Gotta Whiz] owned by Florian Aubruner took the lead posting a 220,0. The L4 finals will have a strong Dutch Touch provided by Grischa Ludwig (GER). Posting a 222,0 Ludwig took the lead with the 5-year-old stallion West Coast Trash [Gunnatrashya] owned by Dutch Margot van Doorne. Posting a 217,5 Ludwig also qualified the 5-year-old stallion Spooks Of Genius [Spooks Gotta Whiz] owned by Van Doorne as well. The finals are scheduled for Saturday October 9.
