Siebe van Bekhoven NRHA EAC Rookie Champion

30/07/2021 – The NRHA European Affiliate Championship (EAC) Rookie class concluded yesterday at the Tuse Creek Ranch in Regstrup (DEN) counted 47 entries, among which 2 Dutch and 1 Belgian. The Dutch did not come along strong, but the Belgian combination all the more. Marking a 214,0 Sieben van Bekhoven and his 6-year old gelding WS Check My Pedigree [Wimpys Smoking Gun] claimed the title. In the first set of spins the combination faced a minor penalty, but Van Bekhoven made up for that in the performance of the remaining maneuvers. Siebe: “A dream has come true. WS Check My Pedigree, aka ‘Jackpot’, was performing really well today, also because of the top coaching of Ann Fonck. Without the support of my parents, my biggest fans, my fantastic groom Bobby, all the reining friends here in Denmark and my sweet friend Zoë this achievement would not have been possible. I would say: teamwork makes the dream work!”
The Reserve Champion title went to Danish Amalie Munkholm and the 14-year-old mare Shirley Spook [Smart Spook] posting a 213,0. Marking a 211,5 Danish Soren Lundberg and the 8-year-old gelding Guns Still Smokin [Gunner] occupied the third step of the podium.
